Read, write & listen
Dedicated readers are always reading. They’ll pull out their eReader at a moment’s notice — waiting for the oven to heat up, or waiting in line for a coffee, they'll probably sneak a few pages in. It’s a passion that drives readers’ desires to have their eReaders on them at all times, and to have the best eReader available and maximize the pleasure they get out of every page.
How do we speak to this ever-burning dedication and hold up Kobo Libra 2 or Kobo Sage as their perfect eReader? We created a campaign that reflects our bold readers in their natural reading habitats, both active — Kobo Libra 2 — and refined — Kobo Sage, — in the way that reading defines them.
Creative
Thinking
Kobo Sage is for refined readers, they have the luxury of time and the places where they read need to reflect that. A Kobo Sage user would have a reading corner with a leather chair they’ve bought specifically for that purpose. They would enjoy coming home at the end of the day to read. Reading is their sacred moment and they don’t want any distractions because this is the time they would use to organize their ideas as well.
I was inspired by the deep jewel tones and the royal look and feel from the packaging. We all know that green is calming, stress-relieving, and at the same time, it is invigorating. But something happens to the body when in the presence of green. Apparently your pituitary gland is stimulated. Your muscles are more relaxed, which leads to improved reading ability and creativity.
For this concept I have reinvented Kobo’s main brand element, the prism, in a way that is dynamic and aligns to the idea of these readers always on the move. This is just a piece of the puzzle, we could create endless patterns and even communicate every single detail of the product in one space.
